Racing starts on the first day of racing, with Supercars on the schedule for April 1.
The Grand Prix of Australia, which takes place on April 4 at Adelaide Oval, has been postponed from April 5 to April 6 due to safety concerns.
The first round of the event is expected to take place on Saturday, April 6.
The schedule has also been changed for the Supercars season to include the Adelaide Oval grand prix, which has been moved from the first race of the season to the second.
In a statement, the Australian Motor Sport Council said it was a “major disappointment” the race had been rescheduled, but the team were “working hard to make the best of it”.
“This is a significant step forward for the race, which will have been reschedule to coincide with a new calendar year, and we look forward to it,” the statement said.
The race is scheduled to start on Saturday at 1:45pm AEDT.
It is also set to be the first time in the history of the race that all four teams have been invited to the first round.
The announcement comes after the race was moved from April 4 to April 5 due to the ongoing safety concerns in the sport.
“We are confident the Adelaide oval will be an exciting venue for all four competitors,” the team said in a statement.
“All of the teams will be working hard to find the perfect conditions for the Adelaide race, so the race will not disappoint.”
