Campbell’s has announced that it has signed a major sports and outdoors deal with a major US sporting goods chain.
Campbell’s Sports & Outdoors announced the deal, which is worth about $10 million a year, with the American Outdoor Brands Group.
The US-based retailer said that the deal will be the company’s largest to date, with an estimated value of $25 million a month.
The deal will see Campbell’s join forces with American Outdoor to produce and sell sports equipment to American Outdoor.
The retailer said in a statement that the partnership with American will ensure Campbell’s products are available to millions of American outdoor enthusiasts and athletes.
Campustown-based American Outdoor is one of the world’s largest sporting goods retailers and operates more than 150 retail stores and sports shops in the US and Canada.
It also has brands in Europe, Africa and Latin America, with operations in the Middle East and Asia.
The chain is owned by Canadian sports retailer Sports Canada and is part of the larger US sporting group, including the New York Yankees, the Washington Redskins and the Washington Capitals.
American Outdoor Brands is the biggest US sporting brand owned by the United States, with a market value of more than $40 billion.
The announcement comes on the back of Campbell’s signing a deal to purchase a stake in American Outdoor in January.
